Silver Creek

The Silver Creek Cemetery does not allow for future burials and is maintained as a historical or “primitive” cemetery as there is no current maintenance of the grounds.  This cemetery was never officially maintained but was used by the homestead families in that area.   There are no deeds to any of the lots in this cemetery, the first burial that is known was in 1888.  The district has placed markers at the graves that are known but it is thought that there are at least 10 or more unknown burials in this cemetery.  The Silver Creek Cemetery was moved under the control of the Upper Green River Cemetery at its formation in 1973.
